Venues are London (October 24th at the RGS), Edinburgh (October 31st
at George Square Theatre), Glasgow (November 1st at the Mitchell
Theatre), Bristol (November 7th at the Watershed Theatre) and finally
Manchester (November 8th at Manchester University).
The speakers are among Britain's leading climbers and include
Kenton Cool (Alaskan epics a speciality), Neil Gresham
(top climber and training expert), Simon Yates (best known for
cutting Joe Simpson's rope, but also one of the most experienced
mountaineers in the UK), Mark Garthwaite (top Scottish winter
exponent aka 'Dr Death'), Tim Emmett (bubbly all rounder who's
recently got into ice in a big way) and last, but absolutely not
least, Andy Kirkpatrick (self-styled Britain's top aid climber
and a legendarily entertaining and deranged speaker).
It's mix and match with three of the above at all venues. You can
see more details on this
page at the Cotswold web site, from where you can also buy
tickets online. Should be a cracker.
