Mountain Weather Back In July
Online Weather's mountain forecast is on holiday, but the good news is that it should be back in new, improved form later in the summer

Regular users will have noticed the absence of Online
Weather's excellent mountain forecast with its hill area-specific
three-day outlooks, freezing levels and so on.
The good news is that it will, we're told, be back in a new and
improved form, as will the sailing and ten-day forecasts, the bad
news is that it may not return until the middle of July, although the
company says that it will be earlier if possible.
The background to the changes is that American online forecasting
outfit AccuWeather.
Inc. has bought the British site necessitating some changes.
Online Weather's Douglas Yule comments:
'We appreciate that this has been inconvenient to many of you,
However you can be assured that when the new look site is launched
there will be lots of additional content available, with new few
features and hopefully a better all round user experience.
'So our apologies for the disruption to our normal service, but
please stick with us during the next two months, whilst we work on
the new site.'
Unfortunately, while the Mountain Forecast is suspended, the
links on the OUTDOORSmagic weather page map lead to a cavernous
virtual void and we've yet to find and adequate substitute. For
general weather information however, check out the BBC
Weather Centre.
Anyway, it's summer, isn't it? Who needs a weather forecast?
I'll get my waterproof coat...
