Ever wondered what it would be like living as a web cam in Wasdale
all year round? No, me neither...
However now you can find out - Guy Newbold at the Wasdale Web has
put together four months worth of images from his Great Gable web cam
in two great big downloadable streaming wads so it has an
interesting time lapse effect. You can choose from October to
December or, if you're a winter fan, December to February
complete with passing flood and surprising passages of sunshine.
You really want a broadband connection, unless you're very, very
patient, but assuming you do, the end result is strangely cathartic
with snow appearing and disappearing, passing cars, people and sheep
and a swaying bush providing hours of entertainment.
All you need is Windows Meeja Player and access to this
page. And just in case you were wondering, Wasdale
Web is the source on the web for up to the minute news and
infortmation about the Wasdale area.
Just one question, who was that mooning at the camera in
mid-January???

I was thinking about increasing the size and quality of the movie, but I think it would make the download just too huge. If anyone has any suggestions or a better software package please do let me know, I'm currently using windows movie maker 2.1
