The TVWalks DVD walking guides to the National Trails are now
available as a downloadable Podcast, so you load them onto your video
iPod or MP4 player and take them along for the walk.
The
downloads available cover the Hadrian's Wall Path, The Cotswold Way,
The Ridgeway and The South Downs Way and are the same as the DVD
version with in-depth information covering local history, geography
and archaeology being presented by Anthony Burton. That's him on the
right with the beard...
Burton is keen to be your on-trail mate: "The iPod becomes your
travelling companion and together we walk the trail. I will tell you
about the life and times of the people who lived and worked in the
area and any significant historical or geographical detail.
"The walk comes to life as you get to understand what actually
happened beneath your feet many centuries, and not so many centuries,
ago. Watch it on the train, in the B&B or en route - this
gives a whole new meaning to a hand held guide!"
There are trailers of each video available from the TVWalks web
site. The downloads are up to 125MB in size and retail for £6
each.
