New Caff For Hayfield
Peak District walking mecca gets new cafe after years as a cake desert.

After years in the tea and cake wilderness, popular Peak District
outdoor village Hayfield,
has finally got a new cafe where walkers, climbers and mountain bikers
are all welcome.
Located at the Hayfield end of Kinder Road - which leads up to the foot
of Kinder and the quarry car park where the historic Kinder Trespass
began - Rosie's Tea And Coffee Room has been open for a week or so
serving tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cakes and some very tasty
sandwiches.
It's warm and welcoming, not ridiculously expensive and they didn't bat
an eyelid at the prospect of slightly grubby walkers and bikers when we
popped by the other week and went into hibernation around the warm and cosy
window table. The only fly in the ointment is that Rosie's is only open
from 10am to 4.30pm in the winter months and from Wednesday through to
Sunday.
We confidently predict a lot of hurtling down footpaths and bridleways
in a bid to catch last orders over the next few months...
Good to have a source of tea and cake in Hayfield again.
