We've just had details of a climbing/mountaineering lecture series taking place in Sheffield this autumn, and we thought we'd pass on the message. We know it's a bit early to think about winter evenings when it's too dark to head to Stanage after work. Still, tickets have just gone on sale, and there's no harm in a bit of advance planning...
So, here's the itinerary:
- October 23rd - Local all-rounder and Boardman-Tasker winner Andy Cave kicks off the series with his talk 'Learning To Breathe'.
- 13th November - Tim Emmett gets all excited about 'Big Air'.
- 4th December - Neil Gresham divulges his 'Top Ten' destinations.
- 22nd January - Mick Fowler gives his 'On Thin Ice' talk.
- 19th February - Austrian legend Dlem Loskot finishes off the season with 'Emotional Landscapes'.
All the lectures are taking place at the Lescar Hotel, Sheffield, at 8pm. They'll involve a video, a 20 minute support lecture, and an hour's performance by the main speaker. And yes, there's a bar as well:-)
Tickets are £6 on the door, or £5.50 on the web. For further information, visit Heason Events.
