The OUTDOORSmagic
Routes Section is expanding all the time with
contributions both from OUTDOORSmagic routes editor, Dave Mycroft, and
OM members sharing their routes complete with downloadable GPS data and
real Ordnance Survey mapping.
The latest routes on the system include the Beardown
Bash, a cracking 20 km stomp across Dartmoor,
the classic Ring
of Steall - pic below - one of Scotland's finest
ridge walks, taking in four Munros and with astonishing all-round views
and Dove
Crag in the Lakes, an ideal route for anyone
based at Sykeside for a weekend.
It's not just walking
though, the system also has 21 of the best scrambles in the UK with
more being added regularly. The latest additions in the classic Ledge
Route on Ben Nevis, a brilliant but
straightforward route that threads its way through amazing mountain
architecture on the North Face of Ben Nevis. Or how about Tower
Ridge an absolute classic cracker of a route...
Last but not least, don't forget that we have three great Berghaus prizes
to give away for the best route submitted every month, so not only can
you map, measure and share your routes, you could also win a brand new
jacket, shoes or pack into the bargain.
