The North East of
England's one of those areas that sometimes gets
overlooked in favour of the more obvious Lakes and Dales, but it has a
huge amount to offer and to make it easier to work that out, the region
now has its own 'Adventure
Generator'.
The idea is to inspire visitors by automatically generating
multi-activity outdoor adventure ideas in the area. You choose dates,
type of accommodation and so on and the generator spills out
multi-activity ideas in the area.
If you don't like the idea, spin the wheel again and see what else pops
up. It could suggest anything from walking, through cycling to indoor
bouldering. You can click to find out more about each option and view
the location on a map or simply carry on and find something else.
Alongside there's an accommodation and events search as well, so you
can book somewhere to stay at the same time. It's a great idea and one
that we're actually going to take advantage of ourselves with a trip to
the North East very soon - we're thinking Hadrian's Wall maybe or the
Nortumberland coast or, inspired by the Generator, maybe some puffin
and seal spotting on the Farne Islands.
Anyway, take a look for yourself, you can find the Adventure Generator
at www.visitnortheastengland.com
