Old Waterproofs Wanted...
Bring your old waterproof along to the Outdoors Show and help a good cause...

If you're off to the OS
Outdoors Show later this month and have an old neglected waterproof
gathering dust at the bottom of your kit cupboard, Grangers is asking
you to bring it along and donate it to their Fabric4Life initiative
in conjunction with Oxfam.
Grangers cleans and reproofs outdoor garments left in outdoor shops
restoring performance to 'as new' levels and allowing Oxfam to sell
them and raise crucial income for Oxfam, so everybody wins and a sad,
neglected jacket gets a second lease of life.
As an added incentive, anyone visiting the stand will get free samples
of Grangers care products plus the company will be auctioning 'a famous
jacket' from an as yet un-named outdoors celebrity with the proceeds
going to Fabric4Life.
When they did this at the Kendal Mountain Festival, jackets were
donated by Leo Houlding, Andy Cave, Andy Kirkpatrick and Kenton Cool,
so you can expect a thoroughbred's cast-off, though obviously
well-washed by Grangers...

perhaps I could buy mine back again once they've restored "performance to 'as new' levels"...? Probably cheaper than sending it off for reproofing! Seriously though, seems like a sound idea... but I'm not going there so mine will just have to linger a bit longer in the boot of the car...

Just take it along to Oxfam - it'll still get back to Grangers for reproofing Grangers & Oxfam
