OM's First Two-Day Route

Ideal weekend escape routes with OM's new monthly two-dayers out now :-)

Just a quick heads-up on this week's OM walking route. It's a little bit different because it's the first time we've run a two-dayer and trust us, it's a cracker of a walk taking in the Langdale Pikes, Great Gable, Scafell Pike, Bowfell and the Crinkles.

It's been carefully planned by OM routes editor Dave Mycroft, so you can tackle it either wild camping or staying in the YHA at Black Sail and the good news is that we're going to be running a two-day route every month for anyone who's looking for a full-weekend's escape.

Regular OMers will know that we run either a walking or scrambling route every Monday and that all our routes are archived in the OM Routes Section, so if you're off for the weekend and want some inspiration check them out.

And in the mean time, here's our Langdale Two-Dayer and a nice pic to whet your appetite - enjoy :-)

Just had a look at it and it looks too tempting to NOT do it!

Can anyone recommend a good place to dump the car for starting at the 3rd leg with the wild camp?

Thanks

Favourite would be park at Wasdale Head and follow Lingmell Beck up to Sty Head.
