Early dates details for the 2008 show at the NEC in B irmingham.
A bit of an advanced date for your diary and some preliminary
information about the 2008 OS Outdoors Show at the NEC
in Birmngham.

Dates for next year's show are 14-16 March 2008, the venue,
as usual, is the National Exhibition Centre in, or right next to,
Birmingham and the show, say the organisers, will be bigger and
better than ever.
That means three halls, 31,000 square metres of exhibition space,
almost 400 exhibitors and more than 25 feature areas. There are going
to be new features as well with a climbing competition - is that new?
- and the NEC's first ever beach festival. Plus of course, loads of
top outdoors speakers and lectures and Brian Blessed we're guessing...

Insulate wildly...
On top of that, ten of the top outdoor brands will be presenting
their latest and more innovative gear complete with choreographed
catwalk shows and gear work shops hosted by Trail Magazine.
The Bike Arena, which was a bit hit in 2007, is getting a leg up
as well with a purpose-built dirt track with jumps and obstacles on
the cards. Reading between the lines, we think there's going to be
some sort of race over it.
Another addition to 2008's line-up will involve local schools, MRT
teams and local enthusiasts in a competition looking forwards to the
future of mountain equipment and offering up and coming designers the
resources to explore and showcase their ideas for prospective
innovations.
Anyway, even if you're not interested in going, it's always a good
date to earmark for a big mountain trip - the weather's invariably
perfect as most of the UK outdoors industry spends the weekend
indoors.
