OUTDOORSmagic Christmas Walk!
Join other OMers for a gentle trundle in the Peak and win unique OUTDOORSmagic beer :-)

Seeing as it's Christmas, when thoughts turn to shopping, we
thought it was about time we organised a traditional OUTDOORSmagic
pre-Christmas walk.
The idea,
if it's not obvious, is to get together with a bunch of like-minded
outdoor folk, have a nice cup of tea and some cake and go for a
trundle around the hills and - of course - to miss the horrors of
shopping in a busy retail wonderland. You'll also have the dubious
pleasure of meeting OM editor Jon and Routes Editor Dave.
Free Beer!
And to add some spice this year, we've got four bottles of unique
OUTDORSmagic beer to give away at random, so you could be toasting
Santa with your very own bottle of OM ale.
The date is Saturday - for maximum shopping avoidance -
15 December with the venue being the Woodbine Cafe in
Hope, right in the middle of the Peak District.
The plan is to meet at the cafe at 10 am then go for a
festive wander along the Mam Tor ridge before returning to Hope,
probably though not necessarily, via Cavedale for some well-earned
cake and beer distribution :-)
Last time we did this a couple of years back, everyone had a
mellow, pleasant day. Everyone's welcome. If you are coming along,
please post something on the forum thread below.

After a year gap we're doing the OM Christmas walk again. Meet at the Woodbine Cafe in Hope 10.00am Saturday December 15th for a wander along the Mam Tor Ridge then back via Cavedale and Castleton. Everyone's welcome and there's even free beer for 4 lucky people Just stick your name down if you want to come.
