New look and new features for the forum, hold onto your monitors folks ;-)

Hold onto your hair guys, the OUTDOORSmagic forum is about to get a bit of an upgrade with a host of new features to make it even better.

The changes will be along in just a minute - those who use BIKEmagic will have an idea of what's coming - but here's what you can expect.

Cleaner Design Yep, in a Changing Rooms stylee there'll be more light and space, oh, anyway, it's going to be 'bolder, more spacious and with new icons' it says here.

Forum integration with galleries which means you'll be able to insert gallery photos into posts with minum hassle and upload images from your own computer into both forum and gallery in one seamless process.

Ignore member function which means you'll simply be able to stick your virtual fingers in your virtual ears and never know what FieryYeti93 is raving about this week.

Forum message quoting function will allow you to quote previous posts quickly and easily without messing about with cut and paste keys.

Private messaging means that you'll be able to use the site to message other forum members on site rather than going through e-mail. The system works a bit like messages on Facebook, so you end up with a page showing your growing correspondence.

Improved e-mail notifications now, if someone posts a response on a thread you're involved in, you'll receive just one e-mail notification until you visit the thread again regardless of how many more posts are made. You can still switch notifications on or off, but it should prevent your in-box from being drowned by a flood of forum notifications.

Hover over preview function means that you'll get a hover over preview of first posts on the threads-listing page, so less clicking on topics you really didn't want to know about.

More Help?

It's actually a lot simpler to use than it might sound from the list above, but if you want some more help on how to use the forum, we've put together this handy Forum Help Guide that explains in detail how to use some of the more advanced new features.
