Personal Shopping At Keswick Mountain Festival :-)

More alternative advance info on the new Keswick Mountain Festival from 16-20 May where visitors will be able to go all Trinny and Susannah with a personal shopping service and a lot more besides.

Personal Shopping

The service comes courtesy of Cotswold Outdoor in Keswick Market Place. The idea is that you can book a member of staff to act as a personal shopper and he or she will guide you through the vagaries of outdoor clothing and make sure you look and perform your absolute best on the hills.

Marathon Boot Fitting

Also on the shopping front, Ultimate Outdoors is running a 24-hour marathon boot-fitting service with a twist. Apparently boots will get cheaper by the hour - it says here - 'so the earlier you rise the cheaper you will get them'. We think that means shopping at three in the morning will net you a reduction, but you'll be able to find more details at www.ultimateoutdoors.co.uk.

Foot Massage

Foot massage is also going to be on offer throughout the festival with skilled masseurs on hand in the Market Square to sooth away walking-generated aches and pains. Proceeds will be going to outdoor activity charity for disabled people Friends of Calvert Trust.

Free Shewee

The guys from Shewee, a new portable urinating device for women - minimise squatting behind bushes - are sponsoring a scenic walk to Causey Pike including a boat ride across Derwent Water.

All participants on the walk get a free Shewee and you can book places by calling Keswick Tourist Information Centre on 017687 72645.
