Photography Exhibition Off To A Flier

Alastair Lee's new exhibition of panoramic landscape photography is up, running and striding purposefully towards the finish line. Definitely worth a visit if you like the outdoors...

Just a reminder to northerners that Alastair Lee's exhibition of 360-degree panoramic landscape photography runs until late September in Burnley.

'More Than Meets The Eye' showcases a selection of Alastair's beautiful 360-degree panoramic landscapes from all around the globe and runs from 14 August till 25 September at the Mid Pennine Gallery in Yorke Street, Burnley. Even better, entry is free.

Alastair dropped us a line to say that the opening was a big success and that the air was thick with praise like 'world class' and 'raising the bar'. Don't just take his word for it though, OMer Steve M dropped in and reckoned: 'Superb pictures, and good little anecdotes for each one to put them into context ... I can heartily recommend a visit' he concludes.

So there you go. You can get a taste of what to expect at Alastair's web site www.posingproductions.com as well as full details of venue and opening times. See also previous OM article 'More Than Meets The Eye' below for full details.

I was looking for photographic exhibitions in Lancashire, and was pleased to find one in the town I live! Great Stuff. You'll see me there soon getting inspiration for my own landscape photography.

Call me a cynic, but:-

1. This "exhibition" clearly states that it happened 3 years ago - post date 26/08/04 12:34:56 PM above. I therefore doubt that we will "see you there". It must have taken extensive searching (or via Google?) to find this bit of 'news'.

2. You are a brand-new member who hasn't posted before except to tell us about your sales site.

3. You are promoting a site which is for your own commercial gain, presumably without permission. This is a commercial site and advertisers pay Magicalia to promote their businesses.

I may be wrong and if so I apologise, but this thing often happens here.

oh dear,
The majority of what you stated, is indeed true. I was just searching (via Google) all the local exhibitions that I could visit in the next couple of months, and overlooked the post date, but I only posted my message because I was excited about the prospect of the exhibition. I put a link to my website, just in case people were interested in seeing my own work. I didn't intend to promote my business, or intend to do so for my own commercial gain, but I understand that it may have seemed that way. I'm glad you raised the point, as I will be more careful in future not to appear as a spammer.
