Postcards From The Edge...
A newly-launched service lets you send personalised physical postcards from anywhere direct from your mobile camera phone, which is kind of clever really.

Here's an interesting one for you outdoors camera phone-using
folk, it's a new service, launched at the weekend's Adventure Travel
and Sports Show, that allows you to send a photo-messaged picture as
a real postcard.
It works like this: first you snap yourself standing on the summit
of Everest / Snowdon / Nelson's Column wearing a big cheesy grin,
then you MMS photo-message the image along with a name, address and
text to Mobycards. They print out the shot onto a real postcard and
give it to the nice post man and wahey, your mum gets a personalised
postcard next morning showing you standing on top of the world.
The service costs £2.50 per card plus standard operator rates
for sending an MMS message. So while it's not cheap, it's not
that expensive either. Plus it's a global service so you
should be able to use it from anywhere in the world.
