The regular Friday weather round-up'll be back in the New Year,
but if you're off for a last pre-Christmas play in the hills at the
weekend, you might like to know that there's snow on the way, erm,
allegedly.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the BBC
weather site, is for snow on the hills of southern Scotland and
far northern England on Saturday followed by more widespread snow on
Sunday with - and we quote - 'some significant snowfall, with
drifting, possible, especially in N and E Scotland and England.
Snow showers also likely in west'.
Sounds generally wet, windy and blowy everywhere, so wrap up warm.
If you want a run-down of useful weather sites, the links in our last
OM weekend weather round-up are still fully funtional, though
obviously the actual weather information in the article is a bit
mouldy now... Click here
to take a look.
Finally, the Scottish
Avalanche Information Service is up and running again, though
right now, lean snow conditions mean that the hazard is uniformly low
everywhere.
