Look familiar? Well, if you frequent Snowdonia it’s the sort of thing that will be looking a lot more familiar to you before too long. The National Park is to have its picnic tables, stiles and fences adorned with Welsh poetry, according to an article on the beeb.
Unsurprisingly, Snowdonia's beautiful scenery has long inspired Welsh poets and Park authorities would like to make visitors more aware of this literary heritage. Poets such as Sir TH Parry-Williams and Ellis Humphrey Evans - both holders of the prestigious Chair of National Eisteddfod - will be among those whose work will be reproduced on Park property. But the authorities are also encouraging suggestions from the public for inclusion in the project, and it doesn't have to be lines of poetry. So if you’ve got your own ideas about what will make ‘suitable and relevant’ quotations for Snowdonia then send your ideas in to parc@snowdonia-npa.gov.uk. There’s no great rush though, they’ll be collecting suggestions all over the winter.
As for the excerpt, translations on the back of an email welcome, or you could just argue about it on the forum...
