North West-based OMers can see photographer Henry Iddon's Spots Of Time exhibition at the Brindley Art Centre in Runcorn between now and 27 March, 2010.

Spots Of Time

The exhibition is a thought-provoking collection of photographs taken from the summits of Lake District mountains at night and the images really are rather lovely mixing mountain landscapes with the distant, warm glow of human habitation in the valleys below.

The shots evoke memories of Lakeland wild camps and late evening descents from the fells and are, says Iddon, 'inspired by the themes and philosophies of Wordsworth and the Romantic Poets - the relationship between nature and human life, the power of the imagination'.

If you want to know more about the inspiration behind the images, Henry Iddon will be at a free artist's talk and reception at the gallery on Saturday 13 March to speak about his work. Refreshments will be served.

The gallery is open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 3pm, closed on Sundays and public holidays.
