With the summer holiday period on us and the economy pushing more peopple into holidaying at home it's getting harder to find space on campsites, and when you do the chances are you'll be sharing it with others who don't appreciate the peace and tranquility of their surroundings the same way as you do. Perhaps now is the time to venture a little further, head for the hills and try a spot of wild camping away from the maddening crowds.
Fot the best in British wild camping you just can't beat Scotland as this promo trailer from 2006 clearly shows
Wales has its fair share of stunning locations too, as OM member
Jamie
shows on his Carneddau video
Wild camping's also about carrying just what you need and keeping your pack weight down. If you're having a struggle fitting everything in your pack you could try out the latest in load carriers from the USA with this supersize pack.
