Well I use my Scarpa boots for gardening in. My Berghaus fleece for wandering around town in. And my karrimor goretex jacket never leaves the cupboard under the stairs.
Ironically, when I do head for the hills in my trainers, I always take my North Face Trail Vest windproof gilet which has proved to be the singlemost useful peice of kit after my Walsh trainers.
