Hats off to the Lake District National Park Authority who have
finally confirmed officially what we all know, viz that mountain
bikers are feckless, scrofulous kids who need to be treated like
five-year olds if they're to understand anything and Park Rangers are
chiselled, all action heroes straight out of central casting.

An accurate depiction of the way
things are.

In a brilliant animation on their site, the Park Authority has
cunningly used the pretence of educating mountain bikers about safe,
sensible riding to mercilessly rip the piss out of them and depict
them as we all know they actually are.
In the cartoon, a lantern-jawed Park Ranger called Clifford
cruelly lampoons Dirk, the unfortunate mountain biker while
communicating simple messages about riding pitched at a level low
enough that even mountain bikers may be able to understand. You can
even win a bike by entering the simple competition cunningly designed
to reinforce the message.
It's not the only message on show though, what can the scene when
Dirk teams up with no less than four sheep really mean though? We
reckon it's another crude subliminal dig. But don't take our word for
it, check out the Lake
District bike animation and laugh your red socks off...
And if you're a mountain biker? You'll be wanting BIKEmagic.
Go on, join up and you could win a sheep. (Erm, we were only joking
you know, come back....)

In best Jeannie tradition: EEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMM! Please, guesses as to who on earth that is supposed to be aimed at (not humans, that's for sure), and what on earth was going through their heads when they approved it!
