Raise money and have fun with the Kinder Mountain Rescue Team

A bit of a selfish one, as it’s my home patch Mountain Rescue Team and I always see donating and fundraising for them as a bit of an informal insurance policy. It’ll be a great night out at a wonderful venue so, book yourself a ticket, get your DJ or posh frock dry cleaned and support and great bunch of volunteers who provide a wonderful service for everyone who enjoys the wilds of Kinder.

Join Kinder Mountain Rescue Team and Alan Hinkes for the Ruby Ball to commemorate forty years of Mountain Rescue in the Peak District on Saturday 24 September 2011. The team need to raise £100K to replace their Landrover ambulances.

We’ll be getting our glad rags on for the event to be held at the Barcelo Shrigley Hall Hotel.

• The event is black tie so no goretex, muddy boots or shorts.
• Guests can arrive from 7pm
• Entertainment includes vocalist Laura Jayne Hunter and music by “Le Funk”.
• Alan Hinkes has been confirmed as the guest speaker.
• There will be an official photographer present if you’d like a souvenir of the event.
• There will also be a prize raffle and if you’re not successful in winning a prize, we’ll also be holding an auction.
