Two Die In Lakes Accidents
Two men have died in separate accidents in the Lake District, one on Helvellyn, the other at Raven Crag

A sad couple of days in the Lakes with two deaths in unrelated
mountain accidents over the weekend.
In the first incident, a walker from Bolton died on Friday after
falling from Striding Edge on Helvellyn after reportedly becoming
separated from his brother in mist. His body was found after a rescue
operation involving around 50 MRT members and dogs.
The second accident took place at Raven Crag on Saturday afternoon
when a 53-year-old climber, from Ambleside fell to his death.
