Up For A Challenge?

The BBC is looking for top-level athletes from a variety of sports to take on the rigours of a completely different sport for a new TV series

If you're a hard-nosed adventure racer or a top level climber and want to know if you could hack it competing at a top level in another demanding sport, then we have just the thing for you.

A new BBC programme, 'The Challenge', aims to take top competitors from different sports and plunge them into a different, but equally torrid arena. So, if you're an adventure racer, you could find yourself crewing a racing yacht, thrashing a rally car across an arid desert or, we suppose, playing extreme tiddly winks...

If you reckon you're one of Britain's toughest, fittest athletes, male or female, are over 18 and want to get involved, all you have to do is write with a short biog and a few lines on why you're up to The Challenge to:

The Challenge, room 4454
BBC Whitecity
201 Wood Lane
London
W12 7TS

Alternatively e-mail: applicants.thechallenge@bbc.co.uk

The Beeb tell us that the programme's also going to look at the 'psychological, physiological and emotional aspects' of the different sports people and events, so it should make for interesting viewing. Erm good luck...

Not that this "new" series is anything like the successful Channel 4 series 'Faking it'!

BBC desperate for ratings by ripping off successful programmes? I think so.

Still it might be good.....

Should be interesting

That "Born To Win" programme disappointed me, but at least you get to see the nice big mountains in Austria
