Description Map your own routes and either share them or store them, check out other OMers' routes complete with GPS data and a real Ordnance Survey map.

Upload a public walking or scrambling route to our new OUTDOORSmagic Routes Section and you'll be automatically entered in a draw to win £50-worth of Anquet digital mapping of your choice direct from Anquet's web site.

Uploading routes is as easy as we could make it - you have a choice of simply uploading a GPS data file, using our online mapping system to create a route by joining up a series of clicked waypoints, or - if you prefer - you can simply enter a written route description and we'll do the rest. You can even upload images from the walk immediately, or come back and do it later.

The system automatically generates a GPS data file that you can use with your GPS unit or mapping software plus plots the route on a real Ordnance Survey map to make it as easy as possible to follow.

Once you've uploaded your route, you have the choice of keeping it for your own use on your 'My Routes' page or you can choose to share it with other OUTDOORSmagic users. And you can change the status any time you like as well as keeping your routes page private or making it publically viewable.

The routes system is also a fantastic way of finding out just how far you walked last weekend and how much climbing you did, so go and have a play.

The Prize

Every week we'll be giving away £50-worth of Anquet Ordnance Survey digital mapping which you can use with Anquet's free mapping software to plan routes on your PC before transferring them to a GPS unit for use on the hill.

Anquet's online download facility means you can download maps instantly from the web site, choose and define your own map boundaries - just buy what you need - and access free bonus maps as well.
