London climbing gear specialists, Urban Rock, in conjunction with
OUTDOORSmagic, is running a superb series of mountaineering lectures
this winter at the Westway Climbing Centre.
We'll be bringing you more about the individual lectures and the
climbers involved over the coming months, but here's a quick summary
of who, when, where and how for you.
• Tuesday January 28th 7:30pm - Ian Parnell
Fast and Light in the USA. A stunningly illustrated and entertaining
look at Big Wall and Alpine adventure in Yosemite and Alaska by one
of the UK's top alpinists.
• Tuesday February 25th 7:30pm - Jamie Andrew
An inspirational and enlightening look at Jamie's life, after his
accident on The North Face of the Droites in which he lost both hands
and feet.
• Wednesday March 26th 7:30pm - Andy Kirkpatrick -
Me, Myself and I - Extreme soloing around the world with the
massively entertaining Kirkpatrick, probably the most gripping
speaker on the UK climbing lecture circuit. Don't miss it.
• The charge for the above Lectures is £6.00 per ticket
or £15.00 for all three.
• Students and concessions (Juniors under 16, Unemployed,
