Amazingly the next OM Meet-Up coincides neatly with a Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team fund-raising weekend. Great walking and a good cause too

An OUTDOORSmagic Meet-Up and the Wasdale Mountain RescueTeam
fundraising weekend at the same time, in the same place - what more
could you ask for?
The date is the weekend of 7/8 September, which is the weekend
after next, and the venue is rather appropriately Wasdale Head in the
Lakes. More about the Meet-Up in a second, but there's a load of
fund-raising activities planned - full details from OM member and
Wasdale team member Guy Newbold on
this forum thread.

Briefly there's going to be a band and barbecue at the Wasdale Head
Inn on the Friday night, a fell race, beer festival and, erm,
treasure hunt organised by Guy himself on the Saturday and a Hangover
Cure hare and hounds race on the Sunday...
Obviously all funds raised go to support the rescue team, more
information on their own web
site. There's also details of the kit on offer in the Saturday
night gear auction scheduled to take place from 9 pm onwards.
Meanwhile...
By coincidence, there's an OUTDOORSmagic meet-up set for the same
place, same time. Wasdale - a dead-end valley in the heart of the
Lakes - is one of the most beautiful mountain areas in England with a
legendary pub, lots of camping space and awesome walking on mountains
like Scafell, Scafell Pike, Great Gable, Great End and on into
Mosedale to Pillar.
Everyone is welcome. There are full details in the Meets
and Partners section of the forum including a 'roll
call' thread where you can let organiser Andrew - 'very drunk
Drew' - Withey know if you're coming. Lots of scope to fix up lifts as well.
Top walking and climbing and entertainment too? Sounds good to
us. Don't miss it.

I want one reply from eveyone on this site who is coming, and all I want to know is how many people you are bringing with you. Onhe reply per member. I get easily confused, and I want this straight in my mind. I feel kinda resposible. It was me who started this thing off!
