Weekend Weather As Was
All the weekend weather links and access info, plus here's a hint. If you want a laugh, check out Jacob's Ladder near Edale Sunday morning and watch a lot of hapless BIKEmagic-ers trying to ride up the bridleway.

Weekend Weather 6/7 October
2001
|
This is our regular Friday round-up of what's in store
for the weekend, but it's been revised so that the clickable map
below is accessible all week round from the drop down menu above in
the 'Get Outdoors' section.
And this weekend? Southerly gales today then a mix of blustery
showers and sunny spells with more rain in the West and winds from
the South says the Online
Weather mountain forecast, though Saturday may be drier in some
places like the Peak and there will be odd sunny spells in most
areas. Temperatures around 7 degrees C on the tops.
Sunny spells and blustery showers says the Met
Office, similar on Sunday. Sunshine and heavy showers with
blustery winds from S and SW, wettest in the West, according to
Saturday's
general forecast from Online Weather, little change on Sunday
but quite mild away from South-facing coasts. Three-day
pressure animation from the Met Office.
Sunny spells, especially in eastern
areas.
Showers, especially in western areas.
Verdict Showery and cool on the tops, so make sure you have
either a wind or waterproof top handy. Fleece and possibly hat and
gloves for stops.
Access For latest access see our latest foot
and mouth update. Minor new re-openings in Lakes. Yorkshire
access still far from complete, though new openings in North Yorks,
some closures too, notably Whernside in the Dales.
