This is our regular Friday round-up of what's in store
for the weekend, but the clickable map below is accessible all week
round from the drop down menu above in the 'Get Outdoors'
section.
Wet, windy - over 100 mph gusts in Scotland and snow on northern
Scottish hills today, white-out conditions likely above 300 feet -
see the Online
Weather mountain forecast. Freezing level at around 3000 feet and
continuing unsettled with wind, rains and snow high up over the
weekend. More snow on Sunday.
The Met
Office, reckons generally wet and very windy over the weekend.
Saturday's
general forecast from Online Weather says mild, but very wet and
windy. Sunday
more of the same.

Avalanche
Information Service check for latest forecast, but right now the
forecast is crap, more snow forecast, cornices collapsing in
relatively mild temperatures. Avalanche hazard is uniformly 4, which
is 'high'. Stick to the ridges guys... But watch out for the
wind.
Erm, nothing really
High winds, heavy rain and some snow, collapsing snow
pack.
Verdict A good weekend to stick to the sofa unless you're a
big fan of the wet and windy. If you do go out, don't forget your
waterproofs, eh?
Access For access information links see our latest
foot
and mouth update. Apart from areas within 3km of previously
infected farms, which haven't yet been officially cleared, paths
should be open.
