Once you've read it, close the window and check out

Sunny periods on Saturday, rain in W Scotland and
Ireland, but better elsewhere.
Sunday looks wetter and cloudier with breezy,
cooler weather in the north.

Overall: We've
seen better, but then we've seen a lot
worse as well.

In Your Pack Or On Your Back
Looks like you can leave the sun cream at home.
Pack a waterproof jacket and a lightweight fleece
for stops, things are getting cooler
again.
Access
-check our latest
foot
and mouth update, for
links to access maps of the remaining areas with
footpath restrictions, basically Powys, N Yorks and
the Dales and parts of the Lake District, though
the central fells are now part of an open access
zone. Note that a few main tops are still closed,
notably Blencathra, Skiddaw and other fells north
of the A66.
The latest outbreak in
Nortumbria means some closures in the
Hexham/Allendale area, see this
map.
