OM's multi-media mogul Weird Darren returns with his weekly run down of the new outdoors podcasts from this week.

Remember, you don't need an iPod to listen to podcasts, just a computer with speakers or headphones and the ability to read audio files and hey, it makes a nice change from the Kaiser Chiefs...

Darren says With Podcast Bob Cartwright of the Outdoors Station away on some well deserved R&R it's been a slowish week on the podcast front. Which is probably a good thing as it gives you time to catch up with that tidal wave of podcasts Podcast Bob released just before going off.

Cameron McNeish brings us another of his highly listenable podcasts, Wild Scotland ñ Creag Meagaidh - in which he takes a spring walk round three Munro summits that make up the Creag Meagaidh massif.

You can download the podcast from Cameron's blog at www.cameronmcneish.co.uk

Mr Reliable Steve Sergeant unleashed the latest in his Wildebeat podcasts, Sheephole Valley Wilderness, in which Steve Tabor talks about the Sheephole Valley Wilderness in the Mojave Desert.

The Wildebeat can be subscribed to via itunes or from their website at www.wildebeat.net

The monthly Practical Backpacking Podcast was released this week, PBP Episode 26 - Pacific Outdoor Equipment - Greg Garrigues, General Manager of Pacific Outdoor Equipment talks sleeping mats, no it is interesting, really it is, believe me and well worth a listen.

The Practical Backpacking Podcast can be subscribed to via itunes or from the website at www.practicalbackpacking.com

That's all for this week, back again same time next Friday.
