OM's multi-media molehill Weird Darren returns with his weekly run down of the new outdoors podcasts from this week.

Remember, you don't need an iPod to listen to podcasts, just a computer with speakers or headphones and the ability to read audio files and hey, it makes a nice change from the Bay City Rollers...

More reliable than a British Bus Steve Sergeant released the latest in his Wildebeat podcasts:

Reprise: Mountain Rescuers - Join a training exercise of the Bay Area Mountain Rescue Unit (BAMRU).

The Wildebeat can be subscribed to via iTunes or from their website at
www.wildebeat.net

Cameron McNeish unleashed another bandwidth quota-breaking podcast with:

"Wild Scotland ñ Creag Meagaidh" - Cameron takes a spring walk round three Munro summits that make up the Creag Meagaidh massif.

You can download the podcast from Cameron's blog at www.cameronmcneish.co.uk or via iTunes.

Back from his travels Podcast Bob brings back four goodies for us to consume in the shape of Andy Howell reporting from The Outdoors Show. Sure beats a box of airport choccies :)

"The Outdoors Show Podzine Part 4" - And even more show chat with Rab, The Outdoor Station free ticket winner, Colin; Agrofarm and Kev Reynolds.

"The Outdoors Show Podzine Part 3" - More show chat from the Mountain Leader Training Board, Pete Ellis - walking holiday leader, Nikwax and Doune.

"The Outdoors Show Podzine 2" - This time Andy gossips to Sue Harvey of Harvey's Maps, X Socks, Shewee, Clearwater Paddling and Velomania.

"The Outdoors Show Podzine 1" - Andy Howell talks to the Minister of Sport, Richard Caborn MP (who opened the show), Paramo and Rudolph Abraham.

You can get these podcasts from The Outdoors Station www.theoutdoorsstation.co.uk or via iTunes.

Already mentioned on the site, but here's a reminder, Alastair Lee has started producing 'vidcasts' for your amusement.

"CLASSIC CLIP NO.4; TOMBSTONE" - title says it all apart from the fact it is a clip from the climbing movie 'First Ascent'.

There are also a few other "vidcasts" for you to download from Alastair, so happy viewing while you catch up over the long weekend.

You can subscribe to these at Posing Productions website www.posingproductions.com or as usual iTunes.

That's it for this week, back again next Friday.
