The winter lecture season rolls relentlessly onwards with even
more dates for your diary.
The
latest to hit the OM in-box is Jake Meyer. Jake who? Well,
believe it or not, Jake is the youngest man in the world to have
completed the ascent of all the Seven Summits - the highest mountain
on each continent - and also the youngest Briton to summit Everest
which he climbed age 21 this summer.
In conjunction with his sponsor, Ellis Brigham, Jake will be
talking about his climbing and showing slides aimed at giving an
insight into what makes him tick. Right now he's still at Bristol
University studying Environmental Science before going to Sandhurst
in 2007.
Jake will be lecturing this month in Bristol, Manchester and
London. The good news is that all proceeds will go to the Children's
Wish Foundation www.childrenswish.org.
Tickets are £8.00 in advance, but quote OUTDOORSmagic and you'll
get them for £5.00, or £10 on the door.
You can order tickets by calling 0870 444 5555 or from Ellis
