'SIMPLE NO FRILLS WALKING POLES'
Strengths:
simple, reliable, strong.
Weaknesses:
locking can be unreliable in wet weather especially.
Overall:
Fine pole, with no frills for a medium price. Mine are six years old and still original. Though they look quite battered, it's only paint and a bit of aluminium rot in places, from when I used to be less careful with them. I find the handles more comfortable than rubber ones, especially when it's warm.

'MY FAVORITE POLES!'
Strengths:
Great for hurdling streams with a 20lb pack on! excellent warming cork grips will last as long as the guarentee while being abused! really grippy metal tips with a star pattern that wont wear off!
Weaknesses:
er the paint chips when you bang em against rocks! (you can tell i like these poles?)
Overall:
BL**dy Great poles mine survived four long distance walks and countless day/weekend trips
