Meindl Jersey Junior
More about Meindl
Average Rating: 3 out of 5
No. of Reviews: 1
RRP: £40

Description: A low-level walking boot for children to enjoy the outdoors in. The suede upper with Cordura cuff provides a durable barrier, absorbing knocks. The Meindl Multigriff sole provides plenty of traction in the hills. A good looking boot, that includes the Ergo-fit footbed.

Available in: 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, Charcoal/Navy

'NOT BAD'
Strengths:
Well made, reasonable insole
Weaknesses:
Uppers pretty thin
Overall:
Bought these a year or so ago to replace the brown goretex Meindls, whatever they're called, as the sole was meant to be a bit stiffer. The boot seemed fine, but the uppers took a real hammering on the Munros and just looked completely worn out after a few months. One thing about the Meindls generally, the insoles seemed "proper" compared to the Scarpas we bought as the first pair of children's walking boots, which seemed to just have a layer of material. Anyway, as these Jersey Juniors were pretty worn out after a few months, we decided that children's boots just didn't have comparable quality levels to that of adult's. We replaced these with small size good quality adult's boots and would recommend that you move your children into these asap if you can get them at a good price in the sales.
