| 'STICK TO FEET, FEET STOP HURTING.' | | Strengths: Stickyness. Cushoningness. | | Weaknesses: After wearing then for 12 hours and especially after having a shower the edges tend to get a bit gooey and leak gunk. You then need to decide whether to stick your socks on top and forget about it or undergo the not entirely pleasant removal process. | | Overall: Better than anything else out there. |

| 'MUCH BETTER THAN PLASTERS!' | | Strengths: You can carry on walking virtually pain free with a blister. They stick very well. They stop blisters from forming. | | Weaknesses: They could be painful if stuck on a blister which has had the skin taken off of, as the hole surface of them is adhesive. They can be hard to remove. They turn into a sticky mush if the blister is moist, and are then not hygienic. Blisters cant heal while they are being used. They are very expensive for what they are.
| | Overall: Compeed seem to me to be the best plaster for blisters. You can carry on walking virtually pain free after you have applied one to a blister. But there best use is for preventing a blister from forming, which they do every time.
I do think they are very expensive for what they are, £1 per plaster. And I have even found myself deciding weather using one is worth they expense, LOL.
I did try the spenco blister kits before i changed to compeed and found compeed to be much better, and also a lot better than ordinary plasters.

| 'I'D RATHER CUT MY FOOT OFF!' | | Strengths: stick too well | | Weaknesses: - stick too well - expensive - don't allow blister to heal - don't act like a plaster to protect the wound - don't work on already-formed blisters - take off remaining skin when removed: which hurts like hell | | Overall: I tried these after developing blisters on my heels, which had filled but not burst. I stuck the Compeeds on and got a little relief but not as much as I thought I would, given the thickness of the things. My heels got worse, blisters burst but I couldn't get the Compeeds off without cutting the skin off they were stuck to - ouch! The wounds underneath took ages to heal, in my opinion because the Compeeds seemed to soak up the liquid, which then became dirty and infected the wounds. They didn't heal up for a couple of weeks after, they were so bad. Sorry Compeed but a sheet of Melalonin, some Savlon and micropore tape are my top tip for protecting blisters and blister-prone spots. |

| 'CRAP!' | | Strengths: Does cushion quite well. | | Weaknesses: If your feel get too warm they have a tendancy to melt and tear a lot of skin off with them! Ouch!! Can lead into further problems (infections) as well as having no heel. Difficult to get off in the end as well. Pricey! | | Overall: I'd settle for some padding and micropore out of my first aid kit any day. |
