'GOOD FOR THE PRICE'
Strengths:
Good cheap altimeter watch (now!) with a graphical display for altitude and barometer.
Also a memory function for altitude so that you can record your hill days and replay them back when ever you want.
Easy to use, calibrate and switch between meters and feet.

[Update 03/06/07] Good cheap altimeter watch (mine was half price) with a graphical display for altitude and barometer.
Also a memory function for altitude so that you can record your hill days and replay them back when ever you want.
Easy to use, calibrate and switch between meters and feet.

Weaknesses:
Mine does not keep time that well - loses a second a day!

[Update 03/06/07] Mine does not keep time that well - loses a second a day!
The light jams on occasionally and only can be reset by taking out the battery.
The paint and lettering has now worn off the watch face.
The alarm symbol is displayed even if the alarm is switched off.

Overall:
A good cheap introduction to altimeter watches.
Used it on a recent trip to Kilimanjaro where it performed brilliantly.

[Update 03/06/07] The watch is now over two years old and still going. (I must be the lucky one!)
It now looks like used and abused as the paint is worn from the watch and all lettering has now gone.

But the watch still functions well, recording altitude and time fairly accurately.

'TOTAL PANTS'
Strengths:
Cheap as chips
Weaknesses:
Can't hear alarm and didn't last long.
Overall:
Light didn't work when first bought and had to have a replacement which worked fine for about a year then it went wonky one night when I pressed the light and the digits disappeared. After a few weeks of that, I pressed the light and the watch reset itself and now its lying in the bin. Also felt the readings to be far out esp. the temperature. Then again, I didn't calibrate it cause I couldn't be bothered.

'DON'T BUY IT'
Strengths:
ok for about a year
Weaknesses:
Mine went wonky after about a year of use. First the night light failed and then it returned to it's default settings after pressing the adjust button.
Overall:
I wouldn't recommend it.
