'SOUND INVESTMENT'
Strengths:
Light, looks good, and warms you up as soon as you put it on!
Weaknesses:
Not DWR outer (but thats no waht its for really)
Overall:
I bought this duvet jacket over ME and montane jackets because of the reviews I had read, as a warm insulating jacket for winter. And each time I put it on when its cold im glad I bought it.
As soon as you take it out of the wardrobe you feel toasty! Best £115 Iv spent on kit.

'EXCELLENT WARM JACKET FOR COLD AND DRY CONDITIONS'
Strengths:
Nice and warm, good fit, effective cuff and hem closures, good weight, reasobable pack size.
Weaknesses:
No insulated hood, sew-thu design on arms and back (rather than box or other), built-in stow sack (internal pocket) is very difficult to use.
Overall:
Really good jacket, and does the job I bought it for admirably. Would perhaps be nice to have a proper hood rather that the useless taffeta nylon thing in the collar. Not sure about the sew-through design on the back and arms - I guess that could lead to cold spots in extreme conditions. It would also be nice to have a proper stuff sack rather then trying to stuff it into its own pocket, which I havent found a way to do.

All in all an excellent piece of kit, ideal for use in situations it was designed for i.e. cold but dry.

Got mine on sale for £114

'DOES EVERYTHING IT IS SUPPOSED TO!!!'
Strengths:
Very warm on cold days and nights
Price
Weaknesses:
Not suitable for wet weather
Overall:
Great jacket that is compatible with other North Face jackets which then can offer the water resistance it lacks - although it would have to be very cold
