'VIRTUALLY BOMBPROOF - SUPERB TREWS'
Strengths:
Brilliant windproofing
Substantially waterproof for softshell trews
Snowproof
Tough
Great at moisture management
Weaknesses:
Size of pockets - especially the thigh one
Too hot for summer (but why would you be wearing them in snowdonia in August?)
Overall:
Buy a a pair. Or three. Not sure how you'd improve on them - apart from the pockets.

'VERY GOOD TROUSERS'
Strengths:
Needed a descent pair of trousers for the colder weather in Scotland and went for the Base Jump Pants.
Had them for a couple of years now and they are hardwearing and very comfy.
They are a soft shell but not too heavy and whenever my legs get too hot which is not that often,,I open the 3 pockets,, one of them being on the right thigh,,the pockets all have a mesh liner and the air vents around the legs,,it works well.
Weaknesses:
£100 is a lot of money but these trousers will last for many years and they are very good quality.
Overall:
Highly Recommended.
