The price is incredible (£20 second-hand from army surplus, but you can find as new / hardly used ones). it has box section construction to keep the feathers in place, and wicks like its going out of fashion! Soooo snuggly! | | Weaknesses: The filling is not exactly high volume down; more like chicken feathers, really, complete with the stiff, stalky bits, so they keep piercing the fabric and coming out! Still, they do the job well, are comfy and warm! The hood is a bit thinner, with less down, so it doesnt do so well at keeping warmth in for your head. (Beware the smell of the really used ones! Ripe squaddy!) | | Overall: I love this bag! It's a real, cold weather performance bag, at a price I can afford! (Even though it doesn't have all the high volume whistles and high tech bells of the real top-end kit, and weighs a ton, I ca't afford their stuff anyway!) |
