'Fantastic!!!'
Strengths:
Full length side zips, long fly zip. Tough outer fabric. The strech panals on the knees and bum.
The most breathable pants I've ever used.
Weaknesses:
The braces are a bit to long.
Overall:

'ARMOUR PLATING FOR YOUR LEGS'
Strengths:
Extremely tough pants for winter/ heavy weather. Totally breathable, very waterproof and reasonably lightweight.
Weaknesses:
Wierd elastication around ankles - there should be a snow-seal here but you end up using gaiters.
Overall:
Bought mine as seconds (needed a replacement stud!)for £60 in the Mountain Equipment factory outlet in glossop (well worth a visit) - so brilliant value, to say the least!

'OK, I GUESS.'
Strengths:
Good, Strong and Tough. You dont get a wet backside when sitting on the wet heather! Full zips are usefull for getting them off in a hurry or getting them on over boots.
Weaknesses:
Way too chunky. Im not sure whether the other reviews are talking about the same pant, but mine are so unbelievably unbreathable, it is untrue. You dont realise when you are buying these that they are 100% nylon, which means only one thing = no breathability at all, unless you unzip them fully. They hinder you on steep slopes and you end up taking them off before starting an ascent, only to find that as soon as you hit snow, you need them back on again. I would probably use them for winter graded climbing but until then, they are staying in the wardrobe as they are poor for winter hillwalking.

The elastication around the waste could be alot better and they could do with internal gaiters. The braces are a bit akward and I ended up taking mine off.
Overall:
Ok. More like climbing pants than winter waterproofs. Need more breathability in them. Fully waterproof with some good features and will keep them for climbing. But I am now off to buy a new pair of Gore-tex XCR waterproof pants which will hopefully be a little bit better than these bad boys.
