'USEFUL WIND RESISTANT FLEECE TROUSERS'
Strengths:
Good cut.
K2 fleece is wind resistant and shell material on arse and knees is nearly windproof.
Well reinforced.
Custom sizing.
Good price.
The fleece insulates like 100 weight fleece and has kept me comfy-under waterproofs through a scottish winter.
Weaknesses:
The design is starting to show its age- Rab vapour rise trousers will do a better job by wicking and being more wind-proof for similar money.
Not much ventilation.
Overall:
www.extremeoutdoorclothing.com- have a look- they are still in business, good quality custom clothing- not the most modern, but very servicable and trustworthy gear.

'EXCELLENT AND HARDWEARING TROUSERS'
Strengths:
Made to measure; tactel reinforcements on knees and bum; drawcord on waist and ankles; can be worn as single layer (rarely use waterproof trousers with these)
Weaknesses:
Might get too hot if exercising hard (i.e. not much ventilation); if wet, the patch areas take much longer to dry out than the rest. But these are minor quibbles.
Overall:
Great trousers, agree with most of the other reviews. Keith at Extreme is a committed outdoors guy, that is evident from his catalogue and his garments. I have a number of other pieces of kit and they are all excellent.

'GREAT FOR WINTER'
Strengths:
Relatively cheap, nice and simple design, made to measure, patches shed snow.
Weaknesses:
Can't think of any.
Overall:
Ideal for pottering about the hills in winter. Fairly windproof and warm, so you can do without a long baselayer quite often. Have used these for three winters now and can't see any need to change. Every home should have one. (We've got three!) Even better value if you can get one of their cheap seconds, according to the website.

'"THE BEST"'
Strengths:
Superbe quality second to none made to perfection in every detail.
Weaknesses:
NONE !!
Overall:
Having worn numerious pairs of walking trousers which were purchased from various outdoor shops I came across a report in a magazine. I duly wrote for a brochure which arrived in a few days. The order form is comprehensive with various options si it was completed and sent off. Six weeks later my "Extreme ranger" trousers and to my surprise they were even better than I could of hoped for so good I am now waiting for another pair to arrive along with two fleeces as well. Remeber forget the rest and and wear the best !!!!!

'PERFECT FOR KEEPING THE CROWN JEWELS SAFE IN WINTER'
Strengths:
Made to measure - so perfect fit.
Simple design.
Quality materials.
Value - only £50.
Weaknesses:
Only via mail order - www.extremeoutdoorclothing.com
Overall:
I was looking for a decent pair of winter walking pants and with a 35 1/2 inch inside leg, options were few and far. These Ranger pants are exactly what I was looking for. They fit perfectly, are made of a quality material thats fairly windproof and with patches on the knees and bum, almost impossible to wear out.
Quality kit at a top price.
