'ROCK SOLID STOVE'
Strengths:
Ease of use, performance, easily available fuel, easily packable, reliable - it's not gonna break!
Weaknesses:
Food can stick easily to aluminium pans particularly if you don't turn them as you cook, whilst not exactly heavy, it's not the lightest either
Overall:
I love cooking on my Trangia stove - it's simple to put together and take apart - and it's almost a ritual in itself (filling the burner, lighting it, putting it in the surround). Don't know if I should but I also like the smell of the fuel as it burns!!

'MUST HAVE KIT'
Strengths:
Compactability. Obvious functionality. Simplistic determined design. Strength
Weaknesses:
No real weaknesses as such. Maybe just that the 25 may be a little bit on the large side to serve as a family/2-3 people and as a lone walker unit - if you have a long hike arranged. This bit of kit is worth having in both the 25 & 27 sizes.
Overall:
Overall, I would have to rate the 25 as a work of art.It's so easy to use and functions on a technical level in a range that would be compatable with walkers on short and long expeditions.

'BEST STOVE I'VE OWNED'
Strengths:
No working parts t6o go wrong, No extra pans to carry and it takes all the knocks you can give it !!
Weaknesses:
Can be a bit thirsty on fuel, but the meths is cheap if you buy bulk, and you can dilute it with water by 10%
Overall:
Hardwearing and functional with no gimmicks and no maintenance

'VERY RELIABLE AND ROBUST'
Strengths:
Very stable and therefore safe to use.
All pots and pans (and kettle) nest inside the burner for a compact package.
Weaknesses:
Meths doesn't vaporise well at low temperatures (say 5C-ish or below), diluted or not, so lighting the burner in the cold can be a problem. I find keeping the burner in your sleeping bag to warm it up works, as does giving it a shake before lighting to get the vapours rising.
Burning paste also works as a priming heat source.
Overall:
A very, very, very good stove system only limited by the fuel's limitations - get one!

'AD A OTIMUS NOVA, AD A JET-ENGINE!'
Strengths:
-Heat output
-Multifuel compability
-Simmer well
-Less weigt on long trips due to higher energy content in petrol/kerosen
Weaknesses:
-More moving part that can malfunktion
-More complex start up and packing
-Cost
-Weight on short trips
Overall:
Buy a Optimus nova and get the best outdoor-kitchen ever made!
Use the alcohol burner for short summer trips and bring it on your expedition as a backup! The Nova fits in the pot if you toss that unessesary tea-kettle!

'GOOD BUT ALUMINIUM PANS ARE NOT THE BEST THING'
Strengths:
ease of use and compact no mechanical this moving that the pan handle is tres useful too
Weaknesses:
the aluminium pans are a kinda health hazard (alsaimers) I am looking for some stainless steel ones or non stick coverd aluminium ones, also the pans are a bugger to clean
Overall:
a classic but moderd stoves burn faster however fule can cost more for these especially when maths can cost you less than £2 bargain!

'SIMPLICITY IN ALUMINIUM'
Strengths:
Neat and tidy. Keeps the matches dry! Gas conversion kit is well worth the investment. Very stable and simple to use. Feels substantial. Nowt to go wrong.
Weaknesses:
Controlling the meths burner. Bare aluminium is a pig to clean if food gets burned on. Moderately heavy.
Overall:
For ease of use, robustness, and stability it can't be beat. Must invest in a non-stick frying pan.
