'ACCURATE, STRAIGHTFORWARD BUT A TAD BULKY.'
Strengths:
Easy to use-once you've worked it out. Relatively lightweight. Accurate. Very weatherproof.
Weaknesses:
It takes a bit of working out initially-and the main instructions come on a CD.
It is long and quite broad, making fixing to clothing tricky [it bounces about] and attaching to a rucksack strap doesn't always work.
Overall:
I love measuring things, so the ability to have a lightweight and accurate unit to tell me the temperature, wind speed and windchill is great. I had an old style Alba Windwatch-much more compact, but definitely not weatherproof. This is a step up and is finding a firm place in my autumn/winter gear. If only it was a little less bulky and could be attached to clothes, packs etc with greater ease [and without making you look a gizmo freak]...
