    'GREAT ALLROUNDER AXE'
    Strengths:
cheap, many different sizes, light, comfy, well made
    Weaknesses:
I dont like the leash but thats me (very minor quibble)
    Overall:
if you want something for the mountains on the offchance that you may encounter ice and snow whilst walking it is brilliant. i have the short version so that it stows on my rucksack easily. Its my back up if I encounter nasty winter conditions. As Paul says its not a technical/climbing axe but for general walking and slippery uphill conditions its great.

    'GREAT WALKING AXE.'
    Strengths:
    Light, simple, cheap, strong
    Weaknesses:
    None so far.
    Overall:
I find this a great walking axe. It is light, simple and cheap. Seems to be holding up to use well, so it's strong and robust too. Why pay more? Note that this is not a climbing axe though.
