    'EXCELLENT!'
    Strengths:
Ease of use for someone with injuries that effect ease and extent of movement when putting on/taking off. Fully waterproof and light in weight.
    Weaknesses:
    None found.
    Overall:
I rate these trousers very highly and have found that they exceed my expectations. The design and quality of materials and manufacture is excellent. As is the price.

    'RUBBISH'
    Strengths:
    Waterproof
    Not bad looking
    Good side zips
    Durable enough
    Pakc fiarly small and light
    Weaknesses:
I have concerns about the breathability of it, on the wettest wildest day I have ever been out in my knees got damp, I dnt know if this was because of sweat or water getting through on the knees. I was also a little concerned about water getting though the side zip as in a strong wind and driving rain i think enough water is forced behnd the storm flat and seems through the zip.
They slip down on me all the time, even with the elastic done tight they will always slide down, I need some suspenders to wear with them
I think theyre relatively expensive for what they are, you can get a similar trouser for about 15 quid, probably not as well made or breathable but I cant see there being much difference in it really

[Update 12/08/07] Weak seams, there are now 2 large and growing holes between the legs.
The material is no tat all durable either, there are matches that are all scrunched up the whole time and hold water now too

    Overall:
I wouldent buy them again, but then you probably cant get anything much better for the money. I'm in no rush to replace them either, but come winter I might invest in some Rab latok pants. Wouldent wear these all day if I could avoid it but when the heavens open theyre great to jsut throw on and get on with it

[Update 12/08/07] As for value, well how can soemhing that is useless have a value?

    'OK WATERPROOF TROUSERS'
    Strengths:
    Quiet, compared to others
Fully lined, ok to wear over bare legs
    Venting possible (you'll need to)
    Durable
    Cheap
    Very comfortable to wear.
    Weaknesses:
    Heavy - 380g (size medium)
    Bulky
    Very warm, possibly too warm
Long side zips leak in some conditions
    Overall:
For me, these don't fulfil the basic function of waterproof trousers, i.e. they're not @*%#ing waterproof. The side zips leak in strong wind and heavy rain, although you'll probably only get 1 wet leg, great! To be fair, it doesn't happen in all conditions. They're also a bit sweaty if you like to move fast. I've given mine to my wife and replaced them with some Montane pants weighing less than half the weight of these. Rated poor, only on account of the zips letting in on occasions.

    'GOOD FOR THE MONEY'
    Strengths:
Waterproof, even in Yorkshire's horizontal rain, sufficiently breathable to stay comfortable.
They do them in size "fat boy with short legs", so they actually fit me!
    Weaknesses:
    Agree on the rustly sounds.
Aquafoil is only for 30c wash so be very careful!!!
    Wish they would pack smaller.
    Overall:
Cheap enough to not get me too upset when I snag them on a fence. On my second pair after first pair developed a fault in the seams. Took them back to Blackburns Outdoor in Huddersfield who got on the phone to Berghaus and agreed on the spot to swap them for new. Well done to Blackburns and Berghaus, top service.

    'OMG! THEY,RE GREAT!'
    Strengths:
light. Thick elasticated band doesnt cut into your stomach. long zips on the legs to help getting in and out of them without looking like a drunk, dancing one-legged heron in a gale! Dont sound like a packet of crisps when you walk in them
    Weaknesses:
yet to find a big one
minor niggle is the storm flaps on the leg zips are slightly bulky but this is really being picky!
    Overall:
for the price, truly awesome waterproof, versatile, reasonably light and COMFORTABLE overtrouser
    Buy some!!!!!

'THEY DO THE JOB AND WON'T BREAK THE BANK'
    Strengths:
I've worn these plenty of times now and never had a problem. Never felt sweaty in them, though I've not worn them in summer yet. Easy enough to get on over your boots. You won't mind sliding down a mountain in the snow in them, as they didn't cost too much.
    Weaknesses:
They don't make you look very sexy.
    Overall:
As Ben saids, why spend loads on something that's bound to get snagged on barbed wire eventually?

'NICELY FITTED, WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE ENOUGH.'
    Strengths:
    -Fitted shape
    -Articulated knees
    -Lightweight
    -Good value for money
    Weaknesses:
    -A bit rustly
    Overall:
I was looking at spending about £100 on waterproof trousers after having a bad experience with a cheap leaky pair. I then thought, 'dont be a prat' waterproof trousers are gonna get trashed anyway, so buy a cheap pair. To sum it up, these are what I bought, and they have been great. I wear them over bare legs or thermals, and they are fitted and comfortable, and adequately breathable. They have a thin lining which means they dont feel clammy against your legs. They've recently survived a tough winters day on Snowdon in knee deep snow and blizzards, without letting a drop of water in. Great value for money.
