'BRILLIANT FOR HOT WEATHER. DRIES QUICKLY'
Strengths:
I use this as a baselayer on hot summer days. Its the coolest thing I've got, the 'dry zones' work very well to evaporate sweat.
Looks quite 'cool' on as well (if you don't have a paunch because it is best fitted). I am very typical medium size and my medium size shirt fits closely.
The zip with a fitting turtle neck totally converted me to zip necks on baselayers, whether this or a heavier baselayer you zip everything down for storming up the hill then close up a high neck when the wind bites into you on the summit.
It can get pongy, see below, but if washed on a multi-day trip it dries faster than anything I've got (overnight in good conditions).
Weight (medium size) 125gm measured (v. good, most items I weigh come in over spec often grossly so).
Weaknesses:
Bit expensive, seems to have gone up since I bought mine.
Like all synthetics the smell is OK for one day, bit pongy at the end of day two and downright offensive after three days.
Overall:
Very good for hot days or high activity sports.
Lightweight and quick drying.
Smarter than a T shirt.
