'LIGHT FANTASTIC!'
Strengths:
Usable light, and added warmth!Very economical.
Weaknesses:
Mantles fragile and need care.
Overall:
This lamp always goes with me winter and summer.
I can read, cook, and repair punctures by the light it emits, and the control valve allows quite a range of intensity.

'SIMPLY SUPERB!'
Strengths:
Again, one for the petrol heads! this light is superb. Will burn for hours on a tank of fuel. Light output is Outstanding.
Weaknesses:
Big, baulky, get's very hot (but thats a good thing when you have cold hands!) not for backpacking.
Be carefull of the earlier style carry cases, the bottom tends to drop out if not latched properly. Try to get one in the newer style Clamshell cases if you want a transport box.
And carry spare mantles
Overall:
Once you have one you'll wonder how you did without it!. Mine has one of the earlier cases... it protects it well although you cant put it away hot!
will i buy another if this gets damaged... Definitley Yes!

'UNBEATABLE LIGHT OUTPUT.'
Strengths:
Burns for hours on a tankful.
Will light up the campsite!
Good controls.
Weaknesses:
Too bulky and delicate for backpacking.
Overall:
The one to use for car-based camping.
Make sure you have spare mantles - they're as delicate as dust if you touch them.
Best price at Argos.

'I LOVE THIS LANTERN!'
Strengths:
It's so bright you can put up a large and faffy tent in the dead of night with this latern. And it goes for long enough for any hopeless friends who take all night to put up theirs!
Weaknesses:
Well, you wouldn't take it backpacking. Oh, and watch the mantles - very delicate.
Overall:
I've bought all my mates who 'car camp' these. They are invaluable.
