Strengths: Can be used actively or passivley. Usefull in places other gear simply won't work well in. Probably great for alpine & winter climbing. Very robust especially in the smaller sizes.
Weaknesses: Expensive and can be fiddly to put in or remove
Overall: Great in shot/ drill holes in quarries etc.
